Floriano Manigrasso
Floriano Manigrasso was born in 1994 in Taranto, Italy. In 2016, he received a BSc in Physics from the University of Pisa and graduated in Theoretical Physics in the summer of 2018. In his master thesis, entitled “QCD Phase Diagram in the Presence of a Background Magnetic Field", he investigated how the properties of strong interactions get modified by intense static electromagnetic fields. The work has been supervised by Prof. Massimo D'Elia.
His research interests lie in the field of theoretical particle physics, Standard Model and quantum field theory with a particular focus on lattice gauge theories.
Floriano has been selected for the position of ESR13 with joint degree awarding institutions the University of Cyprus (UCY), the Università di Roma “Tor Vergata” (UTOV) and the Humboldt University of Berlin (HUB). The project entitled "Direct calculation of Parton Distribution Functions (PDFs) on the lattice" is supervised by Prof. Constantia Alexandrou, Prof. Nazario Tantalo, Prof. Caren Tischendorf.
