Lokahith Agasthya
Lokahith Agasthya was born in Bengaluru, India in 1995. After his schooling, he joined the Indian Institute of Science, Education and Research for a 5 year Integrated Bachelors and Masters in Science program, which he completed in May 2018. His Master's thesis was on the collisions between small particles, such as cloud droplets, suspended in turbulent flows.
He is currently interested in computational physics, turbulence and geophysical fluid dynamics. Apart from research in fluid dynamics, he enjoys reading, jogging and playing chess.
Lokahith has been selected for the position of ESR11 with joint degree awarding institutions the Università di Roma “Tor Vergata” (UTOV), The Cyprus Institute (CyI) and Bergische Universität Wuppertal (BUW). The project entitled "Two way coupling in turbulence flow: modulating turbulence by preferential concentration of particles" is supervised by Prof. Luca Biferale, Prof. Matthias Ehrhardtand Prof. Giannis Koutsou.
